  • D151 willbe delivered shortly

ok so i ordred the 32 oz sample of D151 from ads and it will be delivered today..

this past weekend i was quik detaiing my black magnum, sunday i happened to notice some marring like scratches/scuffs when a cars headlights hit my car...so i looked over hte car and sure enough there randomly all over, must have picked up something in my towel while quik detailing the car...

normally ide clean it up with speed glaze..

but being that the D151 is on its way today, i was wondering if i used it on a polishing or finishing pad would it clean up the marrng as nicely as hte speed glaze will, ready for my LSP..

theres aslo 2 very light scratches on my rear bumper i need to get out and would the LC white polishing pad with D151 take care of those also, using my UDM..

thanks everyone and git er detailed, lol

Since D151 has more cut than speed glaze, I'd try the finishing pad first and see how that goes. D151 has become my favorite product, I think you'll be pleased!

D151 with a white LC polishing pad on the PC (speed 6) removed all of the light to moderate swirling from my swirl-happy Mustang and finished up beautifully.

My experience with D151 has been very positive. It applies nice and smooth with either a polishing or finishing pad via PC or rotary or Flex (I've tried all three with it). Working time is great, about like Speed Glaze, so a couple of minutes per section. I haven't experienced any dusting at all with it, but I'm careful to not apply too much product.

The most impressive part about it is how nice it finishes up....the surface is just like glass, even more so than when polishing with 80. I love the stuff

I have picked some D151 up from my local Meguiars distributor and I havent had a chance to use it. It looks like the perfect thing to use on the daily driver to clean up nicely. Quick question not trying to hijack the thread but what speed on the G110 and what megs pad works best do you think?

I have been practicing with my 151 and I have to say that it seems to clear up spider webs and micro marring quickly and easily. I have been doing test spots on my car since it arrived. I have my #80 and #83. I tried the #80 with the same kind of polishing pad and it cleaned up some of the scratches but not all. I really like the 151. I will have to add that this is my first machine that i have poslished with so my experience is not as broad as most users here.

For light to moderate swirling I have used the White LC pad and for light swirling the green LC pad. I prefer the green LC pad if possible because it finishes up so nice. Not to say that the white doesn't finish up great, because it does.

I always start out at speed 6, then back off to speed 5 for the last couple of passes.

                    Re: D151 willbe delivered shortly

well i got to try it on on my Black Dodge Magnum..

UDM via white LC pad speed 6...

it cleaned it up as good as Speed glaze would, just less working time, which i liked..

made the paint a lil darker and shinier

dusted lil crazy, but seemed more like it was my pad, new by the way that was shedding the foam, but not white foam, pink foam from where the product was applied..had to clean on the fly regularly, and mist a lil qd on the pad ...

doesnt seem like it has more cutting ability, than 80-83,but i will be trying that out again on a blue magnum really soon with heavy swirls, using it on a orange pad..

also i tried a lil by hand on my bumper via yellow applicator pad, hazed and marred the paint...

and this stuff better never need shaking, lol id have to put it in a shaker at home depot that mixes the paint to get this stuff to shake up, lol
