  • All Season or Hyper as a tyre dressing?

Hi all, may I ask some advice please?

I used to use Endurance, until I found Blackfire Longlasting tyre shine.

However, that's now coming to an end & I'm thinking of other products to try, and can currently get megs gallons with free postage (until 31st July) and am looking at All-season & Hyper.

I like a high shine that lasts weeks (remember crappy English weather is a major factor!). I found endurance looked great but didnt last more than 4 days or so even with carefully prepped tyres.

So, my question is, which of these two is the better for tyres and has the best shine & longevity please?

Also, since All-season is solvent based should I avoing using it on tyres?
    many thanks all. Cam

I would go with the all season dressing. The hyper dressing is water based and dilutable to different states of shine. Since the Hyper dressing is water based it will not last aslong as All season dressing would in the same conditions. I have been using ASD on tires now for about 2 years without and tire related issues. Meguiars would not put a product on the market if it would cause damage later down the road. It is designed as a tire dressing from the get go. Hope this helped you out.

      thank you Andrew.

How have you found it to last on the tyres as opposed to say endurance or other tyre shines you have used?

I second the vote for all season. I have used it occasionally and it seems to last me at least a good 10-14 days. Hope this helps you out some.

          CamV6,

Here in the states I don't think we get nearly the amout of rain that you get, but I have had it looking good for over 3 weeks when we had no rain at all for a month. When is rained hard for day it lasted(look wise) over a week then when the tires where cleaned again the dressing was still present and looked a bit duller but was still there. I have used the hot shine spray can and the nxt insane tires coating in the spray can and I like this better by far. I have not used the endurance in many years (10 years or more) so I really can't remember my results with it.

I will have to go with ASD as well. I use it on tires and wheel wells and i must say hit the wheel wells with that stuff really tops the tire area and the rest of the car! ASD seems to last a long time as well.

Cam, I suggest you go a search as there were 2 seperate post that come to mind pertaining to tire dressing longevitity. Extensive tesing was done by a MOL member. I use Endurance, All Season Dressing and Hyper Dressing. Im at a tie between Endurance and ASD for different reasons. I love how ASD smells and ease of application and it does hold up. And the look is extremely liquid black.
