  • NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 residue

    Hello all.

I wanted to detail my Black mustang and ran into a bit of a problem. I did a 5 part job.

    1. Wash
    2. clay bar
    3. DC Paint cleaning polish
    4. DC polish
    5. NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 1 coat.

I was detailing indoors. When I took the car in the Sun it looked fine. After a couple hours in the sun I noticed a residue left on it. I tried to rub it off but it just seemed to smear.

    What can I do?

Sounds like the wax may have been aplied to thick, or not allowed to dry fully.

The two main options would be:

    1. Try to Quick Detail the car to even things out.

    2. Apply the recmomended second coat, applying it very thin, letting it dry fully before removing.

A second application of wax will remove it.

You just have to sure that you are applying it very thin and letting it sit correctly, if you do this then you should be fine

Ive noticed this happening if the wax isnt allowed to properly haze/dry.

Make sure to do the swipe test before removing the wax.

Thanks a lot everybody. It all worked like a charm.

I ended up washing her again because the elements got to her over night. I applied a real thin coat of wax. Now she is a mirror.

Its real hard to see where you have put wax when its so thin on a black car in the shade. I think that is why I originally put it on too thick. Lesson learned.

          I appreciate everybodys help.
