  • How aggressive is #6?

I did search a while, but probably didn't use good enough search terms.

How aggressive is the cleaning power of #6 as compared to A12, ColorX, PRC? How about protection? Assuming I'd use the same technique using an 8006 pad with a G100. I'm looking for a good one-step cleaner/polish/wax for vehicles that have been well maintained.

Don't have the answer to your question, but (just to throw another wrench into the works) for your application you might also want to check out D151.

I don't really know but if it's the same aggressiveness as A12 (more or less) then you can't really compare it to D151 since this is placed between M83 and Meguiar's Solo Cut and Polish Cream

If your looking for a 1 step cleaner/polish/wax then use #6, Quick Detailer. Much more effective than Color X on the PC and your results will be much better. I have not tried PRC yet so I cannot comment on that.

Thanks for the replies! It sounds like #6 is less aggressive than #66. I'm asking because for my personal vehicles, they don't usually need a strong cleaner because I keep them in good shape. When they need a polish, I take out the #80. I save the #83 for my parents cars.

              Re: How aggressive is #6?

It's in this order from least to most A12, M06, color X, M66, PRC 151.
About protection I believe color x and M66 would be tops. But that's the only two that I used. Most people top a cleaner wax with a wax like nxt etc.

M20 poly by is pretty close to being a cleaner wax itself check it out.
