  • Tried #9, what next?

I have some (what I thought were) light swirls/towell marks on my yellow Skittle. I bought a bottle of #9, used my PC on 4.5 with a Meg's 8006 pad. It is a little better, but under the right conditions, swirls still abound. (the car under flourescent light makes me cringe) What is the next product I should try?
2006 Honda Accord EXV6, 2003 Aprilia RSV Tuono, lots of Meg's products.

THe next product you should try would be Meguiar's #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish with a new, clean, dedicated W-8006 foam polishing pad on the 4.5 to 5.0 setting. In most cases, anything this combination doesn't remove will require a rotary buffer to remove correctly.

Thank you Mike. Do I need to top #83 with anything special? Or can I just apply some #26 using my PC per normal? Thanks!

have you thought about trying #80 Speed Glaze? it work quite well on light swirls, the kind that can only be seen under sunlight or certain light conditions.

and you might need to follow up #83 DACP with a milder polish to clean up any hazing #83 might have left. i've heard most people do.

This depends on your paint. Some paint types will require a second polishing with a less aggressive cleaner/polish to remove any micro-marring left behind from the #83 DACP, others wont'.

It's a case by case scenario.

Polish out a section, then inspect. If you see a need, or just want to be sure, then re-polish the car with any of the below as they are all less aggressive than the #83 DACP

          #80 Speed Glaze
          #82 Swirl Free Polish
          #9 Swirl Remover 2.0
