  • Klasse wax question

I will be detailing my civic tommorow for the 3rd time all by hand.

    Gold class car wash
Meg deep somethign wash mit. )discontinued)
    megs smooth clay bar kit
    Dc paint cleaner
    Dc Polish
Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze 2x
    Dc carnebua wax 2x

My question is it sais this on the autogeek website
"Apply glaze to the entire vehicle before you wipe off residue. The longer High Gloss Sealant sets, the better" and also this

"Tip: Let High Gloss Sealant Glaze set on your vehicle for as long as possible. At least 8 to 12 hours is recommended"

so does this mean after i apply it to the vehicle i have to wait >8 hours to take it off or do they mean > 8 hours for it to seal and able to apply another coat.?

    Re: Klasse wax question

For best looks, it is good to let any wax sit and set up as long as possible before messing with it. It is just a matter of if you have the time to wait or not.

What that means is you would apply the wax, let it dry to a haze, then buff off. Then let it sit for as long as possible (up to 12 hours seems recomended) before applying your second coat.

Don't think it will be a good idea to apply a coat of this product and let it sit to long. Most people that like and use this product say the same thing about it... apply a thin coat and wipe it off immediately. (The thread linked above kind of explains why)

Did you ask your question on the Autogeek forum? If so post the link so we can all read the thread...

            Re: Klasse wax question

well i was very bussy today so i skipped the polish and just applied 1 coat of klasse.
The spots that i applied more.. hood, fenders, roof were just like glue and had to spray quicl detailed to get them off. the other places where i applied it, although it didnt even look like i applied anything seemed to get off easy.

Yah next coat i have to whip it away fast. I hate this wax already , Should have bought some other wax.
