  • How to identify proper pad for buffer?

I have a Porter Cable buffer and a lot of pads (various brands and different colors) that I have owned but not used for several years because of a lack of time.

Now, I have time to polish my cars but do not know if the colors of the pads and bonnets are consistent and interchangeable between manufacturers or if I can somehow figure out which ones to do for the first and final polishing. Maybe it does not matter but I thought I should ask before starting.

    Thanks

Post a list of the pads you have and someone will provide recommendations and suggestions.

This might help, if you know the type of pads you've got.
