Deep Crystal Car wash

Hi Everyone,

Just washed my car today and I noticed everytime I use the Deep Crystal Car wash (pink bottle) I dont get as much suds. Is there something I'm doing wrong... maybe I need to put more?

We had Mike Pennington (sp). talk to us today in Phoenix, and he brought this subject up.

Basically use what the label prescribes, and just slosh it around more, if you keep adding more DC car wash to your bucket it will just end up leaving a film on your car.

Try blasting the bucket with your hose when you need it, to produce more bubbles.

It may look like its not working, but the DC car wash is there, tons of bubbles or not, and it is working for you.

The way soap works with water. If your water hardness is high the suds or bubbles action will be greatly effected. you will also notice this in the shower...it will take more soap to produce suds or lather (In the shower)

Buy putting more Deep Crystal Car wash in your bucket will have 2 adverse effects 1 wasting your hard earned money, 2 you will be affecting the finish you have on your car...ie wax, sealant. They can be diminished greatly or washed off completely causing you to blame the wax or sealant and not the over concentrated slutition of Deep Crystal Car wash.

A hardness tester can be purchased a local fish store if you feel the water might be the problem.

I have the same problem. The suds last for about 5 minutes and there gone. I slush it around but the suds stay in the bucket.
I have tried a the soap in different states and same effect.
Am not happy with it. Smells good but thats it.

Suds in your wash bucket are often mistakenly taken as an indicator that a car soap is working.

In fact, suds are a poor indicator of cleaning effectiveness because it is not the suds, rather the surfactants in the soap solution that are actually responsible for removing dirt and oil from your car's surface.

Surfactants clean by weakening dirt and oil particles and bind them to water molecules, lifting them off the surface and allowing you to wipe them away with your wash mitt!

Exactly. I watched the how to wash your car correctly on youtube. He had the right amount of liquid, took his mitt and agitated it like a top loading washer and he was fine. I used to do the add soap then blast with water. It wastes too much product looking back on it.

Soap agents require agitation in order to produce suds. If you want ultra suds, use a foam gun. Otherwise, the premixed car wash doesn't need a lot of soap to clean and lubricate.

I would not be that concerned about suds. The lubricity of the product lifts the dirt and grine away from the paint.

Are you mixing it correctly? 1 oz. per gallon of water?
