  • When applying 2nd coat, what do I......

need to do before applying it? Do I need to dust off the car, then apply the wax, dry to haze, buff out? Or use QD, then apply NXT wax.

It's been 2 days since I detailed the exterior from clay down to wax. I want to apply another coat tomorrow morning after I get off at 7am, so I can enter my car in a show before 9am. The products I have use are:
    Quik Clay detailing system
    Scratch X
    DC#2
    NXT Tech Wax

I also have GC wax and NXT "booster" wax.

Just need some suggestions. Right now I'm heading to the car wash to shampoo, vacuum, and detail the interior.

    Thanks,
    J.R.

If the car had been garage kept, and not exposed to an outdoor environment, then you could have lightly dusted, (if needed), then apply your second coat of NXT Tech, allow to dry till a haze, (about 10-15 minutes), and then remove with your softest microfiber polishing cloths.

Since it sounds like you have been driving the car and parking outdoors, you should go a head and wipe it down with a quick detailer, and then apply your second coat of Tech Wax.

I would recommend removing the wax, and then letting it set-up until you get to the show, and then give it your final wipe with a clean, soft microfiber polishing cloth.

    Good luck at the show!

It's my daily driver and my only car. When I get home from work I'll use some quik detailer and then apply my second coat. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I'll be coming home with a trophy.
