Hello Everybody,
It has been some months but I'm back!
My vette was painted in november (about 7 months ago) She looked perfect with a little orange peel and a few dust spots but nothing serious. Last weekend I was bussy with the front bumper and say some weird forms in the paint. It's not orange peel but it looks like a raw polyester / fiberglass texture that is visible trough the paint. Weird thing is I know it wasn't there before! It's not all across the car but some spots left and right. Not heavy but you can see it in the reflection you don't feel it.
I'm going to call the painter tomorrow and I know it's not a problem and he will fix the problem by polishing it (I think). But because Vette's are an American product maybe somebody has seen this problem before and know the cause of the problem.
The vette was sanded to just above the bare fiberglass and then build up with one or more epoxy layers, ground base coating and then 3 or 4 layers black, 2 layers clear. Polished and after a few weeks another 2 clear. I think this is it but maybe after the epoxy there could be more or other layers.
My question is, do you recognize this problem and what is it?
Don't look at my finger it's just for focussing the camera. Look at the line where the light meets the shadow.

Thank you,
Groeten (Greetings) Peter
