  • recently purchased a 1998 audi a6 quattro need some advice

i recently purchased this car a month ago the paint looks really good still for a 10yr old car..theres like 4 small paint chip marks on the rear bumper and a few tiny thin scratches here and there...

about 2 weeks ago i got the car professionly detailed they washed and dried my car first then used meguairs polymer sealant with a buffer and i just loved how the car came out the paint looked so vibrant and shiny like it was a 2008 i was so amazed...even most of the scratches came out...they told me the car will look like this for a couple months now is this true?

after this was done i usually washed my car myself in the shade first spraying it down with water and then i used turtle wax ice shine car wash because it was what i bought before and it said it would not strip wax and is safe for all paint...i pour some into a bucket and fill it up with water and then use a microfiber sponge and start washing the car from top to bottom after that i rinse it all off and dry it with a microfiber towel...next i use spray wax or ultimate quik detailer...so is this ok what im doin or is there more to it?

now should i use nxt spray wax to keep the polymer sealant lasting longer or ultimate quik detailer? or both? and is ok to use spray wax or uqd everytime after u wash the car or will it effect the paint?

This is fine for maintenance in-between applying an normal coat of some kind or wax or paint protectant of your choice and preference.

Either. The UQD is easier to use and you don't have to let it dry. A spray-on wax needs to dry before removing and can sometimes be messy if there is water on the car, it's best used on a dry car.

Perfectly fine to use these products as often as you like.

Your routine is great so far.... the only question is how perfect you want to be about things, and if you want to do more of the detailing yourself in the future, or just focus on the washes?

Even if you just focus on the washing, you can always do simple things like using two buskets (one for clean water and one for soapy water), Grit Guards, good quality towels/sponges, etc to keep your car in the best shape possible.
