Weak roof panel

I just attempted my first detail on a Honda Civic. I believe it hasn't been washed or waxed for 10 years.

When cleaning the paint on the car's roof, the roof gives quite a bit, and I don't want to permanently dent it. Currently I am using the DA, M80, and the yellow 8006 polishing pad. Any suggestions?
