  • About ready to use M80 for the first time, need some advice.

I am about ready to polish my car with a PC and Meguiars #80 this weekend. I am a little concerned as to how to apply it, as I have had success polishing my car before, but only with All-In-One type of polished, more or less idiot proof.

I am planning on using #80 with a PC and a polishing pad, and then going straight to putting on my wax afterwards. I guess I am having second thoughts of using #80, as I am not completely confident that I can or will apply #80 in such a way that it will finish down good enough to apply wax afterwards.

I guess I am looking for a little encouragement that I can do it, as well as any practical advice on how to lay down #80 with a PC and a polishing pad and have it finish down nicely for wax application.

    Thanks!

M80 is very easy to work with, just start in a small section.

Use 2 or 3 pea-sized drops of M80 on your polishing pad at speed 5. Work it into a 16 x 16 area. You'll get a feel for how long to work it by how hard it is to wipe off. If it's hard to wipe off, you didn't work it long enough. It's a great product and will give you excellent results! Don't be afraid to work it for awhile.

Ok, another quick question. I really don't feel like taping off all of the areas of rubber on my car. As far as anyone knows, does M80 stain black rubber, or will it come off no problems?

I don't plan on getting it everywhere, but inevitably I will get it on some rubber areas.

        Thanks!
