I also have the Clay bar kit (Meguiars) but i dont use that detail spray in the box i use the other one that i bought in a black bottle smells better too but the paint is nice and smooth, but the number one thing i hate is the wirls!!!!! so my qestion is from start to finish what should i do and buy for the swirls and witch pruducts do i use from step one to last? Detailing sprays are good for light dust. You can use the Quick Detailer in the red bottle, but if you use that much, you might want to start looking into some products in bulk. Look up Final Inspection, Last Touch, and M135, which is related to the new Ultimate Quick Detailer.

Ultimate Quick Detailer is not for claying, you'll want to go back to the red bottle.

As far as moving onto to products to clean the paint, remove swirls, etc, read these links over. Try and understand them as best as possible, then it will be easier to ask more...

      Re: Gotta Lot Of Qestions

Hi and welcome to Meguiar's Online

first i use my sqweege(makes it alot easyer to dry,but dont know if it will cause swirls i dont think so th?)
No it wont cause swirls but it is dangerous because if there is any light particles even some that you cant see or if you are working outside and it lands on the car then it will get trapped in between the squeegee and the paint finish scratching the paint.

Now is this a good idea to do what I'm doing instead of me washing the car everytime? can i use this pruduct on a regular day basis? like i do or i wash my car then use and thats it im not suppose to use it again untill i wash the car? wasnt sure?
As long as you are just using it to clean light dust and finger prints then yes you can use it as much as you want but remember at the same time the less you have to rub on your paint finish the better because when maintaining and cleaning it you want to do whatever it takes to reduce the potential to induce swirls and scratches. If there is more than just light dust on the car then yes your will want to wash it rather than using a quick detailer.

I also have the Clay bar kit (Meguiars) but i dont use that detail spray in the box i use the other one that i bought in a black bottle smells better too
If you are referring to Megs Ultimate Quick Detailer in the black bottle then Meguiar's does not recommend using this product as a clay lubricant. UQD's slickness and lubricity features can keep the clay from being able to fully abrade and remove all of the above surface contaminants. So stick with the bottle of quick detailer that comes in the package and use the UQD for maintaining the car

I also used a wax cleaner all over my car but that's not a wax right? so i don't know what i did to the paint there clean the wax?
Are you talking about something like Megs Cleaner Wax? If so then yes it is a wax, its a wax with cleaning abilities to remove old layers of wax and very light below surface defects like stains and oxidation. A good strong cleaner wax i would recommend is Megs ColorX

so my question is from start to finish what should i do and buy for the swirls and witch products do i use from step one to last?
This is what your process should look like
      1. Wash - Make sure to use a good quality soap like megs Gold Class car wash as it offers a perfect mixture of lubricity and cleaning ability and leaves behind a great shine. Also look into using the 2 bucket method with a good 100% lambswool mitt. Also look into properly drying the car. People often use the sheeting method to help reduce the amount of drying needed and also look into getting a good water magnet or micro fiber drying towel.
      2. Clay - To remove above surface bonded contaminants. You can use a Product like the Smooth Surface Clay Kit that comes with everything needed to clay the vehicle including the Quick Detailer for the clay lubricant and a Supreme micro fiber. This will also help with the over all goal to make the paint shiny and to help the wax better cure to the paint.
      3. Clean - To remove below surface defects. Depending on the condition of the paint this may or may not be necessary like the claying process but if you do find light oxidation, swirls, scratches or any other below surface defects then this is a necessary step. Depending on the severity of the defect and the tools you will be using you will need something like DC1 Paint Cleaner which is good for a very light cleaning by hand. If the defects are more severe then you will need to look into ScratchX if working by hand or maybe even machine polishing with a DA polisher and products in the Mirror glaze line like #80 speed glaze which is a great product to have on hand. Unfortunately i cant tell you exactly what product you will need to remove the swirls because every paint is different but there are more aggressive cleaner/ polishes and compounds for even more severe defects and harder paints. Just remember that you always want to start with the least aggressive method first and also work in small sections. To start do a small test area to make sure the product you are using is the correct one to achieve your desired results and then once you can fine tune your technique and make that small area of the car look good then you can move on to the next area and since you already know the method things will go much smoother and faster.
      4. Polishing - This is also a optional step but i highly recommend using a good pure polish only because it does replenish lost oils and help bring out that deep wet look. If you use a product like #80 and others that have a decent amount of polishing oils in them than you can stay with that. If you will still like to add a pure polish to get a little bit more shine i would recommend either #7 Show Car Glaze or #81 Hand Polish
      5. Waxing - This will be an important and needed step to protect the paint from the harsh environment we drive in today. You will want to invest in a good quality wax like Megs NXT Gen 2.0 and to insure good even coverage apply 2 coats waiting about 6 to 12 hours between applications to give the polymers appropriate time to cure, the 6 to 12 hours period is a recommendation but not a must.
      6. Maintain - You will want to maintain it with a good QD like megs UQD for removing light dust and finger prints. This product can also be used on a daily basis and offers the hydrophobic polymer protection which will aid in water beating. Another good maintaining product is NXT spray wax. While some people get this confused and use it to wax a vehicle its is only intended as a booster wax to help maintain an already waxed surface. For this you will want to wash the car prior and then apply the spray wax to add a little extra wax protection to replace what protection may have been lost through time and washing the vehicle. This can be used about once every 2 weeks. Also remember whenever you do wax your vehicle weather it being a spray wax or NXT 2.0 you want to make sure you give the polymers appropriate curing time before you go rubbing on it with something like a QD.

also after the wash and lets say i go for a drive then come back is it good to use my detail spray to clean the car quick and call it a day or no? i know i gotta do all these steps at first to get the car clean and give it the whole 10 yards but lets say after if it only has alittle dirt and dust what to do?
As i mentioned before if its just a little dust then you can use the QD or i would recommend the UQD because it also offers it hydrophobic polymer protection.

I hope this helps and post some pics of the Mustang

        We would recommend starting here,

        Meguiar's 5-Step Paint Care Cycle

Here's a real-life outline of the procedure using a horribly swirled out car, since your car is new it should be in excellent condition so you can probably skip the paint cleaning step as well as the claying step since you've already done these steps.

How To Remove Swirls By Hand

So was, polish and wax, if you haven't tried NXT Tech Wax then give it a try, remember to apply a thin coat, not a THICK coat as a thick coat just wastes product and can lead to streaks.

If you want a swirl-free finish all the time on your black paint then you're going to want to keep a fresh coat of wax on your car's paint all the time.

Clear coat paints swirl very easily but a quality wax like NXT will mask light swirls to maintain that swirl-free appearance. Also take ownership of the washing process and only use good quality wash mitts, car wash soap and drying towels.

Basically anything that touches the paint must be of the highest quality and you must be very careful because it's real easy to inflict swirls and scratches and removing them is very difficult and time consuming.
