I would usually recommend to wait about an hour and you may be using to much product as well. As far as cleaning use a decent degreaser and it should cut right through everything but don't get it all over the paint. I have heard alot of people here use APC for cleaning wheels and wheel wells but i have not personally used APC on tires and fender wells. I guess i found what i like and stuck to it. I like to keep the paint around the wheel wells wet while i am working with super degreaser just to be sure in case i get any one the paint. But like i said it doesn't matter how much product some one used it just melts off with SD. Oh and just a thought but what i used to do back when i would put my old Camaro in shows is hit them with the tire shine in the can when i get there to make them look real wet for the show.

That's actually a good idea (thanks!). I'm running low on tire shine, so maybe I'll pick up a can tomorrow and take it with me to the car show.

I notice that Walmart is selling two different types of Meguiar's hot shine. One comes in a can (which I've been using) and there's another one that comes in a clear spray bottle. Both claim to provide a high gloss shine. I can't tell what the difference is between them both except for the type of bottle they come in.

I have tried both and i like the can because its easy, fast, and leaves a great shine. Unfortunately i did not have such good results with the HotShine Tire Spray in the clear bottle. It when on fine and looked good for about 5 minutes and then as it sat there is lost all gloss and just looked like a clean tire and i have not used it since. I don't know if this is common or maybe i just got a bad batch.
