Can the 3" Buff n Shine backing plate be used with a 4" pad? The pad's description says to use a 3.5 or 4" plate.

I have some of those pads but I bought the backing plate that Rick has at ADS plus the backing plate adapter (rotary and DA).
That backing plate working great for that pad because the pad it's kind of like the So1o pad that in the velcro the pad "wraps" the edges of the backing plate. I'll see if I can take some pictures later today for you to see

The 3" plate with adapters at ADS is what I plan to buy, along with the 4" and maybe 3" pads.
