I have a problem cleaning the original spare tire cover on my 05 Jeep Liberty . It seems to be a coated canvas not the shiny vinyl type. I can clean the black up pretty well with soap, water and a soft bristle scrub brush but I can’t get the lettering to even remotely resemble the white they once were. The best I’ve gotten so far is light tan. Any suggestions?

Re: Jeep Liberty spare cover?
Welcome fellow Liberty owner!
Sorry I can't help you much in cleaning your cover, mine didn't come with one. If I would take a guess I would try a product like M7116 Canvas Cleaner. Hopefully someone can chime in and say for sure what to use.Scott

Re: Jeep Liberty spare cover?
I have the one your describing I'm pretty sure. White letters say Jeep on top and Liberty underneath...if so then use APC or APC + or any all purpose cleaner (Simple Green) for the white letters and you'll be good to go. The Canvas Cleaner with work as well but might not be as readily available as a all purpose cleaner.

Re: Jeep Liberty spare cover?
I used APC+ cut 4:1 on my spare tire cover and the letters came out nice and white. Before I cleaned them the letters were actually gray.
I use a good stiff brush with the APC+, worked like a charm. Ive gotten me a big smiley face spare tire cover now though.
