  • What Pro Line Products should I start with

I've been using the Consumer Products Like DC#1&2 and then Waxing with NXT 2.0 in which I've had great results to the point that I'm doing Detailing on my days off. I recently bought a DA and I want to try the Professional Line but I don't know which ones to get . I was wondering if anybody could tell me what Professional Line Products should I start with ? I'm thinking of going on Tuesday and I don't want to buy the wrong Products one thing for sure though I'm definitely getting #80.

#80 is a great product and is always a good thing to have on hand. Did you get enough pads for the DA ( W8006, W9006 ) Well to give a list of products it all detemines on what type of work you are doing on your days off. If you are doing alot of paint correction i would recommend getting a vareity of different cleaner/ polishes like #80, #83, and #82. Also #7 is a great pure polish if you are looking to replace the DC2 step with something a little better. For Wax #21 2.0 is alot like NXT 2.0. I would also throw in some super degreaser and hyper dressing oh and also pick up some of the Smooth Surface Clay Kits they are good quality clay at a decent price ( i think its about $15 at my local walmart ) and it comes with a microfiber, quick detailer lubricant, and a sample of cleaner wax. Those are all just some products off the top of my head but it comes down to what type of work are you doing

Yeah I will be doing allot of paint corrections I guess since I live in an Island all that salt and sun really punishes the paint. If I get #80, #83 for ex. would I still have to use a Polish like #7 or just use the #80 or #83 Cleaner/Polish to eliminate a step? I'm also looking to cut down time on the Detailing. I will be giving #21 a try after I finish my NXT 2.0. As far as the Clay I would never leave that out that was my first step before trying out the DC1&2. The Clay Kit goes for $20+tax here. Hyper Dressing ? What do you recomend for the tires ?

I think you can eliminate #7 since #83 is also a polish.

No you dont have to top it with #7 after that but i know i for one still do every once in a while just because i like using #7 but if you finish off with #80 and work it in then that will be all you need for the polishing step.

Hyper Dressing ? What do you recomend for the tires ?
I use that alot on the engine bays and some times on trim but only if it has the time to properly dry on the trim. If it decides to rain within about an hour after applying the Hyper Dressing you will see the rain will remove all the dressing from the trim areas and it will leave streaks all down the paint from the run off of the Hyper Dressing because it is water based and all the areas you dressed will them look like you never touched them. For the tires i have a rather long process for that i really like and it consist of washing and degreesing the tires via Super Degreaser then use Hot Shine Tire Foam to bring out that deep black new look in the tires then after i have finished with everything else and gave the foam enough time to dry on then i dress them with Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Gel or Tire Spray and it always turns out great but you can go from degreasing straight to dressing with good results to, thats just my prefference. As Mike states " Find something you like and use it often".

#83 and #80. I've only been using #80 and after 1 pass all oxidation is gone, but some heavy swirls are not removed with #80. I'm sure a few passes would get them all out, but #83 or #105 should work the first time.

There's no doubt I'm definitely getting #80 and the Tire Gel . I still have 1 1/2 tubes of ScratchX should I use it before or after #80? I don't know why but I have more DC#2 left over then DC#1 , can I use DC#2 after #80?

Re: What Pro Line Products should I start with

The Deep Crystal #2 is close enough to #7 that you can just use it. NXT and #21 are close.

The only products I'd recommend are #80 and #83. And I'd even consider just #80. It's been a long time since I got out the #83. Unless #83 has been changed recently, I've found it to be tricky to use, and I've usually followed it up with #80 to remove micromarring. So I just do two passes with #80 instead.
As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

M80 has more of the polishing oils like #7 than the M83 has, so if a person is looking for a cleaner/polish that has a high concentration of polishing oils like the #7 then M80 would be closer.

Both M83 and M80 are very good products and if you think of your products like tools then these are tools most detailers and even enthusiast detailers should have in their tool box.
