  • Nxt 2.0 Question

    Hey everyone,

I bought my first container of Nxt 2.0 paste. However, it seems to be more like a liquid substance then a paste, is this normal?

    Thanks!

The paste should be smooth and soft. It shouldn't be in a 100%
liquid state but rather soft, this will aid in it's easy on/ easy off application. You will love NXT 2.0 just make sure it dries before you remove it from your paint.

How long does it take for the wax to dry?

        Re: Nxt 2.0 Question

It usually takes about 15 minutes to dry completely. Use the swipe test to make sure before you remove the wax. Take your finger, wipe it through the wax, if it wipes clean it is ready to be removed.

I don't think something is right, because if I hold the canister sideways some of the wax starts to run and drip out. In addition, the wax never really seems to dry completely at any time interval (always smears), nothing like my old original Nxt paste...where it tries rock hard on anything it touches.

Did you shake the bottle good?

If I could, I would, but it is in the paste form.

Is that paste in direct sunlight or subjected to heat? Heat can make the wax real soft and mushy.

I it's running it may have melted in the canister a bit. Where do you store it, at what temps?

I've had this before I had accidentally left my tin of gold class paste in my car when I first purchased it. I decided to put in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes and it fixed the problem... plus it still worked as I had expected.

NXT Tech Wax Paste when new in the can should look firm but have the consistency of shortening.

Here's some pictures... this is the normal way it should look.

Should have a firm, solid look before using, not watery or runny.

My finger pushes easily into the wax and breaks it up.

Should be soft and easy to spread, a little wax should go a long way on a smooth, clean surface.

                              Hope that helps...
