  • Chrome questions.

Of the several chrome items that could be on a vehicle, i.e. ehaust (stainless), bumpers and wheels (plated) and grills and emblems (plastics), is the process different for polishing the different "forms" of chrome? If so, what is recommended for each?

    Thanx in advance.

    Re: Chrome questions.

The chrome and polished stainless you can use a mild cleaner on, then clay and use a metal polish. Either Nxt or Hot Rims, or for chrome the new Chrome Polish.

For the plastic ones, I take more care. They can still be washed and clayed, but I tend to just go with a mild cleaner or cleaner/wax after that, then wax them.

I believe there was a thread a little bit ago where someone was removing swirling from some of that plastic badging sort of chrome, but I cant seem to find it, and dont recall their process.
