  • QD question for the folks that really know

    OK, Guys.

Which of Meguiar's QD's has the highest lubricity? Can you sort of rank them for me.

I've used them all except the Synthetic Spray Detailer and Last Touch.

I live on a dusty road I used UQD today (lots of it) with two terry towels. I then followed up with with a microfiber cloth. It seemed to work OK on my white Hemi.

If the Australians can do it so can I.

Well I would assume Ultimate Quik Detailer and/or Last Touch, I do know since Last Touch is rather slick it needs to be diluted 1:1 for claying. Ultimate Quik Detailer isn't recommended for claying. Just a thought!

UQD can get a little pricey if you're using a lot. I've tried regular QD, UQD, Final Inspection and Last Touch. For me, last touch diluted about 70% product and 30% water works the best for light dust and fingerprints. Of course, being a little (OK, lot) on the car crazy side, I often mist on some UQD afterwards on the top surfaces....it just gives that little extra pop.

That's exactly what I was going to type. Personally I'd go with the Last Touch just because of the price difference. As Mort pointed out too, you could probably even mix a bit of water in and still be good.
