  • Noob detailer need some product help ? ? ?

First off hope this is in the right place.

Went to the MOL Saturday detailing class at the end of last month and had a couple more questions before I order some products.

I have a black car (350z) with a full CF top and it wasn't been waxed or cared for much for about a year (was in Iraq).

I know there are two kind of directions to go, either professional products with the DA or by hand with the consumer products.

I want to try the by hand process first, but would like to buy my product in bulk first.

I took from the class the process of Wash, Clay, Scratch-X, DC2, and NXT.

Now is there professional line products that I can get in larger sizes that are comparable to the consumer line products I listed above.

And anything I might want to try being that its a black car would help too.

Thanks for the advice in advance

Taylor if you need to use the orbital buffer let me know. You take care of the pizza and drinks and I'll meet up with you and we can polish both cars.

Well seeing that you are going to work by hand, the best option you have is the one you have, except you can chance some things.

      Wash
      Dry
      Clay
      DC1 / ScratchX
DC2/#7 Show Car Glaze/#81 Hand Polish
      NXT 2.0 / #21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0

This could be an alternative or some new products you can try.
Some could say to try the new #105 but I really can't say because I haven't used this product by hand (only rotary buffer) so I can't say how it's compared against ScratchX or DC1

Hope this helps and good luck with your future detail

I think later on I will probably get the DA and use that.

That's the best thing you can do.
It's really safe and you'll get better results. Not to say that you'' have more products available to use because of having the DA
