I have a lot of Meguiar's product - car and wheel soaps, polish, wax, and protectants that's over 3 years old. It has been stored in the garage, which means it gets cold (but not frozen) in the winters and hot in the summers. My question is, is this stuff still good to use or should I buy all fresh product.

Re: Do Detailing Products Go Bad?
Generally the shelf life of our products is 3-5 years, barring any freezing or exposure to extreme heat. As others have mentioned sometimes you'll find a product that still works as intended many years after it was produced. That is the exception to the rule though. Paste products would be the most common type to surpass that time frame, but most liquid products are usually good to go as long as they mix together with a good shaking.Michael Stoops

Originally posted by J. A. Michaels View PostOfficialy I believe Meguiars says 2-3 years. But alot of forum members say they last longer then that. Give them a good shake and try them out. I have a couple and they seem fine to me.
Either way, I have products over 5 years old that still work great. I have some liquid Gold Class wax thats over 5years old but its un-opened(trying to save that). I still use a tube of scratch-x and Natural shine that my brother got over 5 years ago. Hes the one that really got me into detailing so I kinda took all of his left over stuff.
