  • Eperimenting with Hyper Dressing and have a question

OK so I'm doing a big Dodge truck with the big front bumper and grill as seen in the picture. I usually just clean off the bumper and grill really good and that's all but today i wanted to see how some hyper dressing would make it look and the results were amazing. The only question i have is because its not rubber its more of a coated metal is there any reason why hyper dressing should not be applied to it. By that i mean is there any adverse affect the hyper dressing may have on the metal? I don't imagine it would but just wanted to be sure first before i do the whole thing
pics of the truck and the results with hyper dressing

Re: Eperimenting with Hyper Dressing and have a question

I've been using Hyper Dressing for 2 weeks now and simply love it. I only use 4:1 and have used it on trim aka bumpers and moldings. Any overspray that has got onto the wheels has cleaned right up........mainly to it being a water based formula. Some has even sat on the metal for over an hour with no adverse effects at all.

    I bet you'll be fine.

I think you'll be ok, but probably should wait for an official answer.

No adverse affect. Dressings on paint tend to be mostly topical and will tend to wash off a little with each car wash.

Just note that nothing lasts forever, so if you find you like this and/or you're customers find they like this look, then see my sig line.

That bumper appears to be coated in a bed liner so its actually rubber. You will be just fine using hyper dressing on it but it wont last to long. Something like all season dressing will work out grest and last a little longer.

When I use hyper dressing under the hood, if it gets on any painted metal it smears like crazy. Never had any problems getting it off but it only seems to be good for plastic. ASD works out great on painted metal though.

I've been using Hyper Dressing on the frame of trucks and fender wells for some time now. It works great ! Yes , it won't last a real long time but it makes a freshly cleaned truck look great from bottom to the top. Nothing looks as bad as a clean truck and a dirt coverd bottom side .

I'd take a hard bristled brush and some APC and scrub it down before applying the Hyper dressing. The bumper looks like its been sprayed with truck bedliner.

I have a problem: Hyper Dressing always streaks when I use it on the dashboard? I clean with APC then wipe off with a wet towel but can not get it to stop? I cut 3:1. Any ideas?

Usually if it streaks, there is too much applied so it isn't setting up uniform. Globs here and there so to speak.
