Gilmour makes very nice ones, brass or plastic, and they are sold at Lowes, among other places. Or can order direct from them.

Remember you would need a hose end shut-off valve as well.

I have found that between the connects and the valve, the free flow rinse method doesnt flow that freely unless I turn down the pressure from the wall as well.

Yea, and I found out that once you get the quick disco on the end of the hose along with a shut off and nozzle you have one heck of a setup on the end of the hose which isnt efficient at all.

I find the Quick disco's to be useful where the hose hooks to the wall. I have a filter setup that I only use for the 'final rinse down' so quick disco's would really benefit me.

I know lowes and walmart had them. Ill probably go look around tonight now that my mind is on it.

Does anyone else have other time-saving ideas? Or is this industry slow or tight lipped?!?!?

I mean, once you have your products organized around you, all you can do is work on the car.

Some of the industry gets by with rushing, or just doing some quick rotay work and slapping some wax on, etc. I guess that counts as time saving for a lot of the detailers out there, but obviously the quality drops.

As far as the quick connects and shut-off, its not that big of a set-up, though I guess I am used to the foam-gun on the end as well.

Here is a photo of some of the quick connects that Gilmour sells, and the little baggies the come in. As well as one style of shutoff.



And then here is the whole thing rigged up, with another type of shutoff. This one has a large inner diameter, so the water "should" flow more freely through it.

Late, but as promised, here is my quick-connects setup:




Faucet connection - allows for easy trasnport/storage of hose reel.




My self winding hose reel. Best $70 I have ever spent.




The shutoff valve/connector at the nozzle end.




My favorite nozzle and it's quick connect adaptor.




My rinse hose, with quick connect. (Shameless plug of #21 2.0 used for scale)




Lastly, a good chunk of my gear (in a bigger photo for clarity).

Detail bag for the HEMI (Biggest difference between bags: #21, high endurance, NXT Spray Wax, and NXT wash for HEMI, and #6, #26, hot shine, and Deep Crystal wash for other cars)

Meguiar's bag containing yellow microfiber towels

Thanks for the great pics. I recently got some quick connects and hooked up a simple system so that I can sheet the water off. Works like a charm and my drying time has been significantly reduced. Thanks everyone for the great ideas. If it weren't for the awesome MOL advice I would be in the dark ages.
