  • Do I need to wet sand area on new panel? *PICS*

    Quick question...

I had my spoiler painted and it came out great. I noticed looking at it today in the light there is an area on the top that has slighly rough clear. It looks like something bumped the clear when it was still wet.

I figure I could wet sand this, then buff out with my DA 8006 pad with #83 then #80?

What do you guys think? I have never wet sanded before.

Did it come from the body shop like that? If so I would bring it back to them and have them take care of it.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

A friend did it as a favor. I would like and try to fix it myself.

Apprently Mike posted saying you need to use a rotary to remove sanding marks. Maybe if I attend a Thursday night class Mike cvould show me how to wetsand?

Yes a DA just does not have the power to completely remove sanding marks so if all you have right now is a DA i would suggest holding off on the sanding until you can get your hands on a rotary
