I decided to try another companies "High Gloss Sealant Glaze" After applying it, I decided I will never bother again. Talk about a hassle to remove, plus you can still see the streaks it left after I buffed it out with a microfiber. Ive finally decided to stick with the Meg's products that I know are tried and true.

As Mike Phillips would say "Find something you like and use it often". I did the samething for years until I came back to Meguiars.

While these words do have merit one experience does not constitute a rule. Also, one should never stop learning and always stay open minded. Being lulled in is worst mistake one can make.

being lulled in is bad. Having said that: When do you draw the line? If your using a particular brand, and it does what's advertised where is the harm. So if you find something you like and the results are what you expected why go searching to find another product to achieve the same results? Plus imho you have to evaluate the companies customer service, online support, and overall reputation.

I for one have found products I like. Meguiars. Found great customer support. Meguiars. Fantastic online support: Meguiars Great reputation: Meguiars.

When I first started on this path, I was not going to be sucked in by hype. It had to be all the things I mentioned earlier. I was a total newbie. I am not saying there are no other products that compare. There probably are. But for what its worth I found products I like and trust, I will use them often.

I spent the last year testing and using about 50+ products. Guess what I'm back too? MEGUIARS!!! Why? I know how it work everytime and all the time. Some other polishes acted up all the time. One day ok.........the next day........****!

Then there's the price per use. Meg's is the winner hands down!!!

I use Meguiar's basically because I know them (I guess) and each time I use it it gives me the results I expect and sometimes it passes that expectation by far.

It's why they've been in the market for all those years, nobody can escape

I'm not much of a "company guy" except with Meguiars. Sorry, but I'm totally sucked in. Great products, great customer service. 16 years of use and counting.

I've had a lot of fun over the last year trying a lot of products. Most have found their way in the garbage, while a select few -- those on my rides now -- are mainstays. What I discovered, though, is that my tastes led me to ultimately use products from multiple brands -- that is, my favorite wheel cleaner is from one brand, my wax from another, etc. As consumers, our having brand loyalty is a terrific trait; however, we shouldn't feel obligated to only buy one company's products, especially when there are sometimes better ones out there. And, like Meguiar's, great companies actually encourage you to try other brands, where you determine which is best for you, as that's the most absolute route to customer satisfaction.

While I will admit there are some brands that may make a product, like a wheel cleaner or car wash, that I will prefer, the difference is usually so minimal, and the price so much more, that I have just decided that if I want something, Meguiar's is where I turn first.

It all depends on a person, circumstances, etc, one can not and should not make broad sweeping generalizations, neither when it comes to this nor anything else.

If you are Joe Schmoe being lulled in might work fine for you. If you are Joe Superior Shine it probably will not. If sitting on "works for me, good enough" was good enough to be applied on everybody we would not be having M105 today as other products in Meguiar's line are already good enough.

Please notice it is obvious my comments are not about product brand nor product line, they are about how encouraging being inert is bad as it is encouraging giving up on chance for progress.

While I have more Meguiars products than any other single brand, I still would not like to narrow down my options. Some products simply are not available as a Meguiars product, like a no rinse wash which can be used as a QD or clay lube also for a fraction of the price. And there are better MFs and wash tools out there also. But like I said most of my stuff is Meguiars

I was not making sweeping generalizations. What I was trying to articulate was, Why spend 3-400 dollars on multiple products from different companies to achieve the results that have already been attained? If you are not happy with the results of a particular product, of course you would continue to find the product to give you the desired results. "Its good enough" has never been a part of my vocabulary. I have no problems with using a product from this company for this application. One from here for this,etc. Having said this for me the majority of my products will be from Meguiars. Now and in the forseable future. I will always try to expand my arsenal of knowledge and products. I am not trapped in a routine from the past. I embrace new technology and ideas. I just prefer to stick with tried and true companies. I hope I cleared up my position.

Ive tried tons of products. I am by no means a brand loyal type. This stuff was just the biggest PITA to remove. I put some on my truck before winter and didnt remove it since I drive 3 hours north in nasty weather every weekend to snowmobile. It held up fairly well and made for no maintenance over the winter for me. But for the summer, I want something easy since I have the time to maintain the truck and I have found the Meg's products to do just that.
