  • Leather cleaning

Some people suggests that using a leather cleaner product often can be bad for leather seats in the long term. Supposedly using a cleaner too often can tear up the stitching and cause the leather to loose its color, EVEN after you use a conditioner after the cleaner. Some even suggested to use a conditioner by itself each month and reserve the cleaner product for every 3 months.

What's your guys take on this?

    Re: Leather cleaning

Certainly if you have exposed stitching, rubbing roughly over it all the time wont help anything.

You could easily use the Gold Class Leather spray more often, or the wipes (they aren't my favorite), and a MF cloth. Then save the deeper cleaning from the liquid Gold Class Cleaner/Conditioner or the two step system for the every few month cleanings.

Soaking the seat/stitching wouldnt be good either, but you shouldnt be applying them that heavily.

You posted it in the correct section. Those sections are for mods to post information in.

As for the seats, I condition my frequently and clean them about 2-3 times a year. They are about due as a matter of fact.
