  • Looking for Pure Wax?

My car is silver so it's not too difficult to maintain. I do full detailing 3 times a years and for the rest of the time, I would just do one the following:

    1. Wash - NXT (most of the time)
    2. Wash - Cleaner Wax - NXT
    3. Wash - NXT - NXT
    4. Wash - NXT - #21 (polymer sealant)

So, I do apply 2nd coat sometmes. I am looking for a pure wax as a 2nd coat. Any suggestions; Yellow Wax, DC3, ??? Is sealant like #21 considered pure wax?

Any of your choices will work fine. It ultimately comes down to personal preference. As for pure waxes, give M26 or DC3 a try. They smell great too!

    Just to clarify-
    M21 is called Synthetic Sealant.
    M20 is Polymer Sealant.

Agreed. For a pure wax I love #26 and that banana smell.

Not quite sure what you mean by pure wax? None of the products are 100% carnuba.

Do you mean no/few cleaners? Gold Class, #26, DC3, maybe #21 would likely be in that category.

#21 and Nxt being purely synthetic.

            Re: Looking for Pure Wax?

In Meguiar's terminology, a pure wax would be a wax with not cleaning ability

            This would include,

            M26
            Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax
M16 (Discontinued but you can still find it)

M21 and NXT both contain a sleight amount of specialized cleaners, not enough to be considered a cleaner/wax, (how many times must we go over this?), but at the same time they are not in the pure wax category.

From what I understand, 100% Carnuba is too hard for use in automotive purposes. (Hard as in rock, not lazy person-it's too hard)
