      Re: How to wash cars?

I follow the video posted above rather closely...

I use Gold Class Shampoo, tow buckets and a lambs wool mitt.

Of course I move from the top down and for my Avalanche it will take me about 45 min including the dry.

I follow that video quite closely as well, but with one sort of major difference: I've been using a foam gun for the past few months and really like it. I use that as a replacement for my soap bucket, but still keep a rinse bucket on hand as use it as intended.

Something about the foam gun is just kinda.....fun. And soapy.

        My cars like it too.

Follow the video and your doing it the right way. When I first started to do things the right way it took alittle more time. As time goes on you refine your technique and it becomes second nature. Then your time decreases. However 45 minutes seems good for a avalanche.

You can't get a better explanation than what you see in the video

Perfect Mike and awesome water pressure, I love it

The only major difference is that when it comes time to dry the car, I use the water-sheeting method before touching the car with the microfiber towel. Where you flood the car's surface with soft flowing water (nozzle removed from the hose) and let the water sheet off. Typically you can get better than 80-90% of the water off the car without ever touching the paint.

P.S. If I hadn't been around Megs online as long as I have and understood your passion, the video would have made me think: "Got Prozac"
