  • NXT 2.0 drying time

Probably been discussed but I can't find it.... how long do I let NXT 2.0 sit after applying it? I've let it sit for 10 minutes and 20 minutes and still seem to have a residue left on my finish.... stays until I wash it again or rains.

How long should I be letting this wax set? The weather is going to be in the mid to upper 40's today too... does this affect drying time? I've got some swirls so I am trying to get a wash/scratchx/NXT 2.0 in today after work.

Please let me know any suggestions on drying times if you have them. I'm not new to detailing...but new to this forum! Thanks guys/gals.

The best way to determine when it is ready...

We call it The Swipe Test

Also keep in mind, thin even coats are also your best friend when applying any product....

        On that note, there's this...

        4. What temperature ranges are best for applying cleaners, polishes, and waxes

Yeah, I have the same problem where after I used NXT 2.0 there is still a waxy residue of sorts that remains until I wash the car the next time. I figure it's just because I use too much wax but it's not a big enough deal for me to try and change how I'm doing it.

Either try new towel or use some UQD as directed to remove resedue.

to combat streaking, after wipe off park the car in the sun (if possible) for a couple of hours (not so long if in hot weather), then wipe down again with a clean M/F. i find this gets rid of any streaking or residue. apparently it removes any moisture that has come out of the wax as it begins to cure, not sure about that though. just seems to work well for me.

Last week I used NXT2 on my car. I dont know if I didnt shake it enough, or wipe it off to soon, or what was on the paint before but it streak like crazy.Since I didnt have any more time I just let it alone , and to my suprise all the streaks were gone in 2 hours by themselves. And wow what a gloss.
