Has Speed Glaze (M80) been discontinued? If so, was it replaced by another cleaner

I can still find it when I do a search of product name but it is no longer in the Professional (Mirror Glaze) lineup.

I am thinking to try it, to replace DC1.

      Found it, Thanks.....

According to the website, it's $16.20 for 32 oz bottle. Is this right?

Since this belongs to the profession lineup, it should be stronger, right? Can I replace DC1 by this Speed Glaze in my next full detailing job?

In the upper left hand corner on www.meguiars.com there is a search box, if you type,

        m80

into the search box you'll pull up the link to M80

          Re: Speed Glaze

Just checked. Speed Glaze is a cleaner/polish.

Since I am looking for a DC1 replacement and since I will follow the CLEAN step with a POLISH step (DC1 or Show Car Glaze), what is a pure Cleaner that I should consider?

            Re: Speed Glaze

You can still use a cleaner/polish as a dedicated paint cleaner.

You can always use ScratchX or #2 Fine Cut Cleaner

What are you working on and what are you trying to accomplish?

              Re: Speed Glaze

ScratchX will be too expensive to use for the whole car. maybe I can replace DC1 by Fine-Cut Cleaner.

I do full-detailing job twice a year, before and after winter. I just wax (maybe 2 coats) for the rest of the time.

I have been using DC-1, DC-2 as pure Cleaner and pure Polish. I am thinking maybe the professinal line will give me better results.

Are you working by hand or machine?

I think when working by hand the Deep Crystal System is great, not that you can’t use the M80 or M02 by hand, if that’s what your wanting to do. If your looking to get a little better results (I’m assuming this is why your asking about the M80) I think the next logical step would be to step up to a machine (G110), not just step up to the pro-line of products and keep working by hand. If you get the G110 you can still use the DCS or step up to the pro-line whenever your in need of more product. Also, using the G110 will make your details easier, better and probably more enjoyable to do.

There is no power outlet in my garage so G110 is no good for me. Working by hand is the only option now.

                      So, I should stick with DC1, DC2 ???

In the complex were we live. The garages do not have a outlet. However they do have a electric door openers. What most of us do here is this. Unplug the door opener plug in a multi tap. Replug the opener in. Run a extension cord from the extra outlets. Use cup hooks to keep cord out of the way. Plug the cord into a surge protector and you have a outlet. I have been using this set up for about 2 years with no problems. Just trying to help out. Hope it works for you.

If you can't do something like J.A.M. suggested or find some way to get power where you are then I would stick with the DC System. IMHO it will serve you well.

                            Hi Mike,

I have a 06 VW GTI (see below) and I have tried to use M80 to get rid of some swirl but I think that I am rushing it and not giving it time to work. I know that M80 has diminishing abrasives, and you need to work it until it turns ‘greasy’ but on average how long is that?

I just need for SWAG because either I’m not letting the product do its work or the paint on my GTI is like iron!!!
