Wow, I have learned a lot on this site, but have a question. I used ColorX last year and thought it a good product, but this year, want to do a better job, and want to use the three step deep crystal process. Since Color x is a cleaner & wax, and the bottle is almost full, my plan is to clay, colorx, polish, and wax. Will this work? Subustuting the step one cleaner, with ColorX? Know it sounds cheap, but may as well use the colorx up if I can. Thnx

Re: ColorX instead of Pre-cleaner
Sounds like youve got the idea but I dont believe you need to use a polish after the color-x. Since its a once step process like you said, it cleans, polishes, and protects the paint. A good idea would be to clay, use color-x, then top that with a good wax(such as NXT2.0).
If you want to make use the DC line(and do a extra step) you can clay, use the DC#1 cleaner, DC#2 polish, then follow that with a good wax.Current Jeep: 2004 Jeep Liberty with stuff

Re: ColorX instead of Pre-cleaner
Thank guys. Think I will clay, ColorX, deep crystal polish, and either deep crystal wax or NXT2. The NXT2 is almost double the price of DC step 3. I have read they are both great, just people's preference. Thanks again.

Re: ColorX instead of Pre-cleaner
Well, there are a few ways to look at it.
If you are using it as a cleaner/wax, then you do want to let it dry before removing.
If you are using it just as a cleaner, then it doesnt really matter if you let it haze or not.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
