tar/sticky stuff removal

Just got done washing the truck and all the sponge kept seeing what look like tar, black gummy stuff, kept picking it out and rinsing well on grit guard in second bucket and continued during rinse phase i can see some of it still on the sides of the truck not alot about 20 spots per side, some spots some stringy looking, if you touch it with your finger it smears and is gummy.

Any ideas on how to remove. Im thinking some QD deatailer with a MF towel, or some simple green 10:1 with a MF towel, Im sure the simple green will strip the wax thats O.K because im trying to wax it now with some NXT 2.0.

You can try Meguiar's Bug & Tar Remover and let it sit for a couple of seconds.
You can try, if you have, claying those spots to see if it removes them successfully

You could also try body solvent if you have a PBE store neer by, or you could use kerosene on a terry towel wipe it on let sit for about a minute then wipe it off with another kerosene towel until it is gone. Then you should give those areas a very good washing then re-wax.

With using the bug and tar remover. It has always worked very well for me in the past.

If you don't have any bug and tar remover you can use a very small amount of WD-40 on a rag. The tar will come right off.

i ended up using some quick detailer and a MF towerl and it came off, it just kept the surface well lubricated while i wiped it off, using alot of QD to almost wash it off.
