On the instructions, it say that you can apply the Trim Detailer with a terry cloth or a microfiber towel, I rather to use a 1" Poly foam brush, which I found to be more accure to do the job, I´d like to know about if it is right and some other ways to apply the Trim Detailer, thanks.

Re: How to apply the Trim Detailer
Do you guys who apply using foam pads / foam brushes find that you use more product than if you use a MF or terry cloth? Don't they tend to soak up more product?Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: How to apply the Trim Detailer
I use Terrycloth when I apply mine. I have very little black trim where I need to apply Trim Detailer (the exception to that being the black plastic on the backs of the sideview mirrors), and it's just easier for me to grab a rag out of the pile and run my terrycloth covered finger around the small areas that need the detailer. I have found that there are a few spots on the trim that just really soak up the detailer (they're more of a porous material than the rest of the trim), and others that barely need any at all.

Re: How to apply the Trim Detailer
I've used mf & foam pads and I find the foam pads use less product. And yes I have to go areound the car with a qd to remove the excess, cant stand that because it's usually my last step and I'm really tired after a long detail. The Best Last Step, is the step backwards you take to admire your work!

Re: How to apply the Trim Detailer
I forgot to wipe the excess of the other day, its rained n im left with grease looking streaks down my paint, i did wax so should come off with a wash. I was experimenting the other day and got a little pan scourer/sponge (cut the scourer off) and found its great for applying trim detailer (just the right size for my trim) but coz it has right angles its a doddle to do as well.
