    Re: Wheel wax/protection

When I got my new car last fall, I didn't do anything with it except wax the chrome wheels. I have since clayed, and did the three step clean/polish, and wax. Looks great. Back to the chrome wheels. I waxed them with ColorX last fall. I was not happy last week when it was finally warm enough to do the three step and clean my wheels. I don't know what happened, but I just could not get the chrome to clean up. I had to use a chrome/metal cleaner to get the stuff off. Let me tell you, that was not fun at all. So, for my experience I will not wax them again. I will try something else but not ColorX or wax.
