  • Does anyone use Professional Line

    Hi

Long story short, as I often wash my cars, all below products consume very quickly. Therefore, I would like to change to Professional Line (Cheaper BIG SIZE)

Here is my list using Consumer Line:
    1. Meguiar's® Gold Class™ Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
    2. Hot Rims® All Wheel Cleaner
    3. Meguiar’s® NXT Generation® Speed Detailer (For Claying)
    4. Meguiar’s Quik Out™ Carpet Stain Remover
Could anyone tell me what I need to get for professional line (above 1-4)?

    Best regards

    Kelvin

Re: Does anyone use Professional Line

    Hiya
I have had a look as to what there is (this is bearing in mind we have slightly less choice over here in the UK)

    1. Meguiar's Shampoo Plus - D11101 - 1 gal. (3726 ml)
    2. Meguiar's Wheel Brightener - D14001 - 1 gal. (3726 ml)
    3. Meguiar's Last Touch Spray Detailer - D15501 - 1 gal. (3726 ml)
    4. Meguiar’s Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner - D10219 - 19 oz. Foam

You will also need some spray bottles some are for dilution. The Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is only 19oz so check which is more advantageous to you on amount or cost.

Hope this Helps (would also like it if someone could check and correct anything i have said or chosen, as i have found the Pro line products that match the Consumer as closely as possible.

Although I don't have first hand experience with the Wheel Brightener, I'm not sure it would be considered safe for all wheels, so just be careful. I think it can be diluted for different strengths, if I remember correctly. I'm sure someone will chime in with the facts. Just wanted to let the original poster know to proceed with caution with the Wheel Brightener.

        D14001 Wheel Brightener

Christian did a really good job of giving you alternatives in the Pro Line, but as TXShine pointed out there is some acid in the Wheel Brightener and you need to make sure of the material the wheels are made out of or the coating on them and use the correct dilution level when you use this product.

Basically you don't want to use wheel cleaners with acid in them on,

Polished Aluminum or any bare aluminum finish
        Anodized aluminum
        Bare Magnesium

If you're working on chrome wheels or Factory Clear Coated wheels, then you'll be safe as long as you use the correct dilution level, which is 4:1

We dug up some threads for you to read...

Just picked up a gallon of WB I am going to cut it 10 to 1 for cleaning very dirty wheels. My question is I know this stuff is not all that safe, Is chemical resistant gloves a mask and eye protection a good idea to use when using WB? thanx

Hey guys, I was just wondering which sprayer to get for these products. I'm torn between the chemical resistent and the foaming sprayers. I just want your opinions and/or experience you guys have with them.

Got my WB this morning and was wondering what dilution ratio people use, considering there are options on the bottle of 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1. I'll mainly be using this for neglected wheels as I use #36 for ones that aren't in bad shape, so what do people recommend? Shall I just go for the strongest to make sure it's always got

Chemical Resistent Sprayer (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4350) Hi: The chemical resistant sprayer for the secondary detailer bottles should be used with what products? What does Meguiar's recommend? I would think that it would only be needed with some of the products. Regards, KTruck

Will strip wax off wheels if diluted 4:1? I understand it stains polished aluminum. I have a polished lip, is there a dilution rate I can use that wont stain it and still not strip the wax? Thanks Mayur (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15158)

I've read that WB should be diluted 4:1 and it's still pretty strong at that rate. At 4:1, how does it compare to Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner at that dilution rate? Hot Rims wheel cleaner is probably stronger than what I need on a regular basis since I now wash the wheels on a fairly regular basis. Heck, most of the time, car

Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening? I really like the Wheel Brightener product from the Detailer line but I'm finding that overspray from my spray bottle is getting on the rotors, and it only takes a few seconds and then a rinse, and my rotors are now rust colored. In the Before/After shot--actually

        Hope this helps...

Re: Does anyone use Professional Line

Wheel Brightener has one dilution level and that is so it doesn't eat through the finish on the wheels it is safe on. It is like Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner on steroids. I would only use it on the same type of wheels that AWC is safe for (can't remember the list). I wouldn't use it on aluminum or aftermarket wheels. I'm not sure about chrome.
