I watched Barry's 3 part how-to video. He said Polishing is very different from waxing and to beware of a product which says it does both... Well, I just got back from Target and Whadayaknow... There on the shelf was Meguiar's all in one cleaner-polisher-wax. What the heck is the deal there???

unfortunately there are people in this world who are lazy. they cannot be bothered with a 3-step system so they want a compromised product, which is what all 2-in-1s, cut & polishs, wash & waxes etc. are, that will save them time and effort. doing it that way will not give the best results but it is aimed at a specific type of consumer. -

Some polishes, or waxes with cleaners just are not very effective at doing cleaning, polishing and protecting in one step all though they will claim they are good at this, Barry's just trying to let you know that not all products are equal when it comes to finish results.Originally posted by in2food View Post

That said the majority of car owners don't want to do multiple steps and instead just want to wash and wax the car, for these people we make a very effective cleaner/wax that will clean, polish and wax in one step, it's so popular that it's been around since 1973 in both liquid and paste versions and point in fact the Meguair's cleaner/wax was the first Meguair's product I ever used and the product that introduced me to the Meguiar's brand which eventually led me to my job working for Meguair's answering questions this forum and teaching the Thursday night and Saturday classes.

The best thing most people can do is to do their own comparison test using our products against whatever else it is you own or are interested in and see how you like the results of each product and then go with it...
