Quik Wheel Detailer being discontinued?

I was at the local Pep Boys today and found the Quik Wheel Detailer on their closeout table, and it kind of worried me. I like this product (works PHENOMENALLY well on my painted Bullitt rims on my '07 Mustang GT) and I was hoping that Meguiar's wasn't discontinuing this product.

Anyone know if it's being pulled, or is it just my Pep Boys trying to get it off the shelves because it's not selling well for that particular store?

Stores get rid off certain items and bring in new ones. They are probably just not going to carry it, so they want it gone.

I just saw this product on the shelves at the local Big Lots for the first time last night. I assume its just like a quick detailer for paint, just for wheels? Used the same way?

At big lots? might have to stop by there, not something I need but its something I will use instead of UQD on my wheels for the cost savings.

I really hope that Meg's is not dropping this product as it is excellent. Brake dust just rinses off the wheel after using it. This is my favorite wheel dressing If you can find it at Big Lots buy all you can carry.

I wouldn't think they are getting rid of it, especially with the "addition" of Quik Glass Cleaner (remember, was in those Gold Glass gift sets at Target around Chirstmas). I think Meg's is building a nice little line of the Quik stuff and I don't know why they would stop now.

Heck, we'll probably see a new car wash soap come out and it'll be Quik Wash. Plus packing these things together will also help move a few off shelves as well.

I just picked up 4 bottles at Big Lots for $3.50 each.

The Quik Glass Cleaner was only available in those gift sets. I don't think they are actually going to start selling it. There is already NXT.

As far as the soap, there was a product called Quik Suds Car Wash.

That's what I'd figured, but I was still sweating it because this stuff works AWESOME at cleaning my Bullitt wheels on my GT.

Here's a pic from today:



I washed using GC car wash, clayed the car (which, fortunately, wasn't too bad; I try to clay on a regular basis), then used some Fine Cut (I'm waiting for my gallon of #80 to come in) with a PC and a W8006 pad, followed by NXT applied wih a Meg tan finishing pad.

It's not that great a pic due to the tree shading the car, but you can see the nice, clean wheels on the car, and the nice shine on it!
