PC just arrived in the mail. Last weekend I clayed my daughter's..greenish/silver Passat and used the cleaner wax to protect this week. Tommorow...I will finish. Since it's my first detail with the DA I want to play it safe. After I do the Passat I plan on claying a black Audi...and following up with the same program on Sunday.
I have deep crystal step 1, 2 and 3. I have Lake Country pads...orange,blue, white, and gray. What color pad should I use with each product. I also have Meg 7..26...and 9...swirl remover. I'm not looking for a miracle tomorrow...I'm going to be learning the basics with the Passat. Hopefully I will be better prepared for the black audi moving forward.
I have a stupid question ..I am mechanically challenged....I have a 5" backing plate. The PC comes with a wrench and a plastic spacer. Does the backing plate take the place of the spacer (washer)...or do I need to connect that also. Seems to me I can screw pads on via the backing plate and just use the velcro. I read the directions..but am still mech challenged.
Thanks in advance for any direction you can give me. I figure the first time I should just get used to working with everything...and then try to use better more aggressive products in a few months.
Thanks Again
Tom
