  • NXT Wash

I just recently bought a bottle of NXT Car Wash to try out since some people seem to like it better. I applied it with my Mr Clean AutoDry and looked like it had lots of suds but when i started to actually rub the car with my mitt, suds vanished. I was used to getting a good amount of suds from Gold Class and I just dont seem to get that with the NXT. Anyone else notice this? =\

I've done the same w/ Mr. Clean. It seems to be really stingy on soap usage, not sure if that's part of the way it works or the fact that I/you am/are using a non-Mr. Clean soap. When you put NXT soap in a bucket, it suds up like crazy!

I never heard of putting the NXT wash in the Mr. Clean car wash sprayer. I know the Mr.Clean car wash soap is made to be used in the Mr.Clean car wash sprayer. And I'm not sure that it is made to be used for anything else. Beside's that the NXT soap has alot of sud's. And it has a nice smell to it.

I would have to agree with the other replies to your question. NXT Car Wash offers abundant sudsing action, if you're not seeing lots of suds, it could be that the tool your using is not designed to use Meguiar's NXT Car Wash.

I know suds are reassuring to everyone that the soap is "activated" but isn't it true that suds do not = degree of cleaning power or lubrication? I always operated under the assumption that the slicker the solution you can make with your car wash the better, not necessarily the more suds. Some washes I've found not to be big suds producers at all but are quite slick and clean quite well. When I fill my bucket I also try to focus on making the most solution itself possible, not necessarily more suds. Am I thinking this through correctly?

To my eyes, the NXT wash appears to be thicker than the Mr. Clean wash. You might try cutting the NXT 2:1 or 3:1 with water.

Suds are are helpful in that they help to float dirt and other unwanted contaminants from the surface.

Most people, not all, like suds for psychological reasons, they like the way suds look in the bucket and while washing the car. That said, suds help to show you where you've washed also.

A good car wash cleans effectively without being to harsh on all of the components that are on the outside of the car.

A good car wash also contains ingredients that makes the surface slick so that dirt and other contaminants will slide and glide off and against the surface instead of scratching it.

A good car wash will also help in the rinsing process by washing off, when hit with a spray of water instead of reactivating and lingering on the surface this is referred to as free-rinsing. (How they do this I don't know).

M-00 Hi-Tech Wash is a low sudsing car wash. It still cleans exceptionally well and add a lot of lubricity to the process. The low sudsing feature is important when used to wet-sand because you don't want a lot of suds blocking your view of the surface while your sanding.

              Hope this helps...

Ah, the #00, I think folks have been saying they really like it for claying as well. Mines sitting right next to my clay bar ready to go when needed

I did notice that too that the NXT Wash is a lot thicker than some of the other washes I have used. Maybe it is because of this that it can't spray the spray way out of my tool than with other washes. I'll probably try adding a small portion of water into the holder to try and compensate for this. Thanks for all the info everyone.

That is a trick that I learned from my local Meguiar's distributor! It works great and, personally, I like it a little better than using QD, FI, or FD.
