Wax with UV protection

Can anyone confirm which wax has this SPF thing....

What I want to achieve is to slow down the paint's fading (oxidation).
How am I going to achieve this.....

I think any wax from the Meguair's line would slow down paint fading if your paint is really taken care of it can last for a looooong time.

There was a really good thread around here somewhere that talked about how little a microscopic layer of wax can protect against UV. Now NXTv2 says it protects against UV rays.

I believe it may of been on the other forum.

There's a FAQ question and answer on the topic of UV protection, the jist of the answer is that your job is to "maintain" your car's clear coat, if you maintain the clear coat with regular cleaning, polishing and waxing it will hold up over time.

This is key because it's the clear coat that has the most substantial UV protection for the underlying color coat.

The amount of UV protection you can layer on top of the clear coat is measured in microns, thus instead of looking for some type of miracle product that makes claims it can't actually live up to or substantiate, find a product you like and use if often to maintain your car's clear coat finish.

Thanks for the input. I forgot that clear coat actually is the one who does the UV blocking.


That's nicest looking Toyota Kijang I have ever seen and it's not two tones....odd. I know the fact that Indonesian produces (assembles & exports) Toyota Kijang.
