  • Is there a benefit to two coats of NXT 2.0?

I've read conflicting information, some saying that two coats of NXT 2.0 gives increased durability and shine, while others say that because of the chemical make-up of NXT 2.0, there's no value to a second coat. I'll appreciate it if Mike will clarify the subject. Thank you.

    What's the deal with "Layering?"
Maybe this could clarify your doubt.

      2 thin coats of wax

      Insures Uniform Coverage
      Insures Uniform Appearance

If you're really good at applying a coating of wax, that is you work it in well, apply it evenly over the entire surface you want to protect, allow it to fully dry before wiping off then you can apply one coat and get maximum benefits.

      FWIW

On a personal note, for a customer's car, I apply to thin coats of wax. On my own cars I apply one coat and just make sure I do a good job when I apply the wax. I wax my cars often enough they're always seeing a regular maintenance coat of wax. My customers... who knows when they're going to wax their own car again.

Wait so you also have to work the wax in like polishes?
