I was just on Autopia reading that NXT actually hides or removes swirls. If I want to use NXT alone without any cleaners or polishes, will it still stand up well? I plan on buying the Smooth Surface Clay Kit and claying before using NXT. Would this be a good process? I want to do this until I can get a G110 since I am working by hand and don't have the time or strength to do all 3 steps in one day on 2 cars and an SUV.

Re: NXT hides swirls?
Just an example....
Does NOT remove swirls, but it fills them in and hides them, and does an AMAZING JOB.

Re: NXT hides swirls?
I used the process of wash --> clay --> NXT to start my car off with six months ago.
I fell it love with it, and have purchased a G110. No it won't make it perfect the first try, but it sure is a lot better. I'm sure I'll have two spring detailings to give myself some practice.
...now to buy a little more m83...

Re: NXT hides swirls?
Also remember that any wax or paint sealant that is truly working is filling in to some degree, here's why, if a wax or paint sealant is truly working that means its leaving itself behind on the surface to protect the paint.
Make sense?
If it's leaving itself behind, as in leaving a layer of wax behind on the surface, (or paint sealant or paint protectant whatever the protection ingredients are), then this layer is coating over the surface and thus filling in to some degree, NXT just tends to do a better job than most.
Any wax or paint sealant that isn't filling in or coating over isn't really working. Just don't let those Autopia people convolute your thinking that a wax that fills is bad as that's not true, a wax that fill is working and any wax that doesn't fill isn't working.
Does that makes sense?

Re: NXT hides swirls?
I agree. An LSP with some filling properties is a good thing! How many of us have time to clean and polish our rides once a week, let alone once a month? It's a hard life for a daily driver, and anything that helps maintain it by filling in is greatly appreciated.
That was a nice before/after hood shot of the NXT 2.0 on black paint!
The 2.0 is just hitting the stores here. Now if I can just find the Paste?

Re: NXT hides swirls?
There seems to be a miss understanding. That was not my examaple, I googled NXT 2.0 for some time couple days ago and it was one of the product reviews I ended bookmarking. The guy who actually did it is from UK I believe.

I hope it is not conflicting interests that I represent DB.
Fuel Turner got his NXT 2.0 from Arizona as NXT 2.0 hasnt hit the shelves in Alberta yet.
I have yet to try my bottle out, but I imagine it should be a good.
