Whats the point of using a quick detailer after applying your lsp? I know quite a few pro's that use final detail or fk1 425 after they put on the lsp. any reason behind this?

Re: Detailing Question
Quick Detailers are sometimes useful as a check step to ensure all of the wax has been removed. They also add a extra layer of gloss to the layer of wax that they just applied. In my experiences, a coat of Last Touch for example gives a much more slick "feel" to the surface of the car, and a deeper gloss versus a layer of polish followed by an LSP alone. It's not a huge difference, but it is a noticeable one.
Having said that, with the majority, if not all of Meguiar's LSPs, the polymers take on average 24 hours to setup. After which time, a coat of a quick detailer would be more appropriate, instead of just following removal of the LSP coat. However, for reasons of practicality, this is hardly ever possible.
Detailers also use a quick detailer to ensure they have removed any residual fingerprints left behind that they might have missed.

Re: Detailing Question
Yeah, because of the interfering with waxes setting up, I generaly dont do it unless a bird comes by.
But in addition to what was mentioned above, if a sloppy detailer used to much product, and had dust everywhere, then a wipe down wiht QD would also help solve that mess.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Detailing Question
I also use it between coats of wax. As they said, it helps to remove anything that you might've missed in the first round of polishing the lsp off.Wiseguys Auto Detailing
