  • Windshield looks good, except for some white pinpoint 'chips'; help

I polished my 98k windshield and except for some light scratches here and there it's crystal clear.

Once everything dried I noticed some white specks on the windshield, almost like overspray. I tried QD, goof off, clay and nothing is taking them off...I think they are little chips.

Anyone know a solution? Each is like the size of a pinhead...not really all that noticable when driving, but at certain angles outside the car you can see them.

It sounds like some of the wax or polish dried in the rock pits in the glass. I would use Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner or even some Dawn on a cotton towel as it should remove the wax from the pits, but the pits of course will remain...

      You can't "remove" those.
You must re-glaze your window or buy a new one, otherwise clean the wax out of the holes.

Wow, take it easy on all the !!!!.

My glass has always had spots like that. Only time I can see them is when the windshield is 100% clean and the sun shines on it. Its never really bothered me.

Thanks I will keep that in mind. The windshield is not so expensive, but it's not something I want to do over a couple 'specks'.
