removal of water spots

Ok, I spent a day detailing my truck (black 2004 F-150), which included claying, swirl removal and waxing with NXT. It looked real good. THen, while on vacation down at Amelia Island, it rained and ended up with water spots(?). I have since washed and dried the truck upon my return but the spots remain. They aren't really noticeable unless the light hits them just right. They are also noticeable first thing in the morning when I go to dry the morning dew off of the truck.
So my question is this:
Are these water spots and what is the easiest way for removal?
I have performed a search on water spots and saw a post about using white vineger. Does this work without messing up the paint?
Maybe I need to go ahead and do a complete detail on the truck again? Will the Clay bar remove water spots or do I need to use the swirl remover again?
Thanks in advance for any advice y'all have.

I can try to get some pictures if it will help but I don't have any as of right now.

You will be doing a complete detail again. Go ahead and try the vinegar and clay. My bet is that the spots will not be removed.

You can try #82 Swirl Free Polish, but again it may not "cut" the spots.

Another option is Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner. Some folks have had good luck with this product on water spots.

The final solution and what I usually end up using is #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polisher. Sometimes I have had to apply it several times using a pc to completely remove the spots, especially if they have been on any length of time. (On a couple of occasions I have gotten by just by just using NXT in a very aggressive manner, but the spots had not had a chance to etch the finish.)

If the spots are removed with Vinegar, you will need to rewax. If the spots have not been there for more than a week, this will probably work.

Well, the vinegar did not work. I tried it out this past weekend with no luck at all. I ended up using ScratchX and was totally pleased with the results even though I only had time to do the hood.
I basically washed and dried the truck and then applied ScratchX to the entire hood and removed it with a microfiber towel. After that I applied some polish (Show Car Glaze), followed by a coat of NXT followed by a coat of Hi-Tech yellow.
I wish I had some pictures cause that thing was shining but I didn't have my camera with me at the time.
I plan on using the same procedure for the rest of the truck if the weather is nice for this weekend and I will be sure to get some pictures then.

Very Simple, Just redesign the label on the next production. However, let Barry Meguiar has an approval before production.

I guarantee "Scratch X" will increase the sales (probably double).
