I have tried scratch x and I cannot get these swirls out of my car. I tried a test spot on another car to see if I was using the product properly and it worked great I removed all the oxidized paint. I am applying it with a microfiber applicator; removing it with a supreme shine microfiber but its still there this is driving me insane!

Re: can not remove the swirls !!
Are you working the product well?
How many passes are you giving it?
Remember that ScratchX is not a wipe on wipe off product. You have to really work the product for it to do it's job.
Another thing is that not always by hand you are going to achieve a near perfect finish, sometimes you need to step it up by using a machine, DA or Rotary. You won't achieve a near perfect finish by hand by you can achieve great improvements!
Maybe you could post some pictures of the swirls you are trying to remove. Maybe this way we could give you more advice in this matter

Re: can not remove the swirls !!
My Si is not black and not swirled. Here's a recent thread on a 2007 black one that was though. Looks fantastic after some diligent work with the PC dual-action.
I was lucky that my dealer apparenly has a good delivery process and I've only ever hand washed (2-bucket, Grit Guards) it. My daughter's 2008 black CRV looks pretty good, although there is some #80 with the PC in her near future. I guess I should say in my near future.
Not sure what to tell you with ScratchX or working by hand.
Have you clayed the finish yet? It could be that you are introducing some new scratching if some contaminates are breaking loose while you're using ScratchX. Was the other car you did the test spot on black? You might try clay and then ScratchX on a test spot on your paint.

To do an entire car with ScratchX seems to me overly strenuous. Five passes would be more than enough justificationto me to buy a dual-action polisher.

Re: can not remove the swirls !!
I found a video on youtube in which Mike shows how to properly use ScratchX. I hope this is helpful.
