the few times I have clayed I used the regular quick detailing spray. I got a good deal on the bigger bottle of quick detail spray at advance auto parts ($1 more for double the amount of spray). Once that is used up I might try the dp 4 in 1 rinsless wash and shine as you can use it when mixed right as a clay lube. But more than likely I will just stick with the dedicated quick detaling/clay lube to be on the safe side as I am not a pro and would never clain to be. Better safe than sorry for me.
