  • difference between dressings

ok, so i'm just curious.. what are the differences between the detailer line dressings?

    Hyper-Dressing
    Water Based Dressing
    All Season
    Silicone Free

Hyper Dressing is a concentrated dressing that can be mixed to your liking (gloss or no gloss), pretty durable.

Water Based Dressing, similar, either straight or diluted to your liking, interior and exterior, engine bays.

All Season Dressing, ready to use, seems to be the more favorite in my readings but HD/ASD are both popular.

Silicone Free is the safe for body shops with paint worries.

I think that's how it goes. All great products.

thanks. On another forum i'm on, everyone swears by Hyper Dressing... i'm thinking I liking it the best so far cause I think I could stretch a gallon out.

Yeah, those dressing are in the Detailer Line aimed at professionals who use a lot, hence the size. Hyper Dressing and All Season Dressing (HD/ASD) seem to be favorite around here. I have not used either one, but use #40 a lot and Gold Class Trim Detailer.

well.. can Hyper Dressing be used on dashes too? Cause I'd really like to have like "one product do it all" kinda thing... tired of having 15,000 bottles of stuff laying around.

That's no doubt, went from dawn/brush/old bath towels and turtle wax hard shell to Meguiars, pads, dressings, waxes, polishes, cleaners, towels, towels and more towels. At least the wife knows what to get me for gifts

                        Re: difference between dressings

I've got the large bottle of #40 now, but my daughter's new CRV has a lot of black plastics on the exterior, as does my son's Tundra bed liner. I was thinking of going to a different dressing for those exteriors but will probably wait until the 40 is nearly gone. I like to wipe the #40 to a matte finish. It works nice inside and out.
